The bondage between the Malta Labour Party and the people is the main factor that helps the party in formulating a strategy and a vision that will benefit the country and the majority of the Maltese population.

During its time in opposition, the Labour Party has never lost its contact with the realities that the people face every day.

The increase in interest rates on home loans and the exuberant increase in the surcharge on water and electricity bills are a clear indication that the current administration is detached from the realities that one hears in the common places and local piazzas.

It is evident that the Labour Party is in continuous contact with the people and understands the harsh realities they have to face.

That is why I am sure that a new Labour government is committed to improve the living standards and living conditions of the population.

The new policy document published by the Malta Labour Party focuses on three main issues, namely economic regeneration, the reform of social policies and the reform in the government’s operational responsibilities. Labour in government will be bound to provide assurance and dedication towards the people.

The Maltese people understand the importance of change; change that can only be provided by a new Labour government. This is the pledge of the Malta Labour Party for the future.
