Two men, a Maltese and Gozitan, have been charged with stealing Lm8,000 worth of items from a house in Gozo six months ago.

Johann Micallef, 30, from Msida and 21-year-old Joscar Camilleri from Fontana, Gozo, denied stealing the items from a house in Fontana to the detriment of Paul and Regina Zammit, to damaging the property and to conspiring to commit a crime in February.

Both men, who appeared before the Gozo court, were refused bail and were remanded in custody.

Police Inspectors Daniel Zammit and Carmelo Magri prosecuted while Dr Franco Debono and Dr Justyne Caruana appeared for the accused.
