The Vodafone Malta Foundation is supporting tomorrow's concert performed by three Italian greats, Claudio Baglioni, Riccardo Cocciante and Gianni Morandi. This is being held at the Valletta Waterfront to celebrate the five years from the birth of the 'O'Scià', the project conceived and promoted by Claudio Baglioni to generate an awareness about immigration problems faced by Malta and other Mediterranean countries. The concert starts at 8:30pm.
The event is being hosted by well known Italian TV personality Fabrizio Frizzi and also features top local artists Winter Moods, Ivan Filletti and Ira Losco.
“In its fifth edition we felt the need to bring 'O'Scià' to Malta, which is also facing immigration issues as other Mediterranean countries,” said Rossella Barattolo, President of Fondazzione O'Scia.
“Our aim is to use our music to raise awareness about this phenomenon among local institutions, communities, the media and opinion formers.”
Mrs Gemma Mifsud Bonnici, Chairperson of the Vodafone Malta Foundation added that the Foundation felt the need to lend its support to this major event to highlight issues being faced by the local community. “Through Fondazione O'Scia's initiative and the support of major artists, we will be spreading the message of solidarity and integration.”
