Neptunes Vodafone need only a draw from tomorrow's top-of-the-table clash against eternal rivals Sliema McDonald's to carry off this year's Wilkinson Sword Summer League title.

The competition is to come to an end tomorrow, but a decider will become necessary if Sliema manage to beat Neptunes tomorrow as they would finish their commitments on an equal number of points.

The Balluta Bay side has the slight advantage of needing only a draw, but in such clashes, it is obvious that the advantage goes to the winner on the day.

The current league leaders, perched on top two points ahead of their rivals, are well aware that Sliema will be going all out to register a win to force the deciding match.

Neptunes also know that they have been the most consistent side in the competition having lost just one of 13 matches. On paper, they seem to be the team most in form at present, but in derby clashes such as those of tomorrow, any side would be expected to rise to the occasion and the Blues will certainly prove to be very difficult opponents to beat.

On their part, Sliema are aware that only a victory will keep them in contention for this year's title.

A draw will hand the title to their rivals and it will certainly be useless.

The two sides have prepared themselves assiduously for tomorrow's clash which is expected to attract a very large crowd on the terraces of the Tal-Qroqq national Pool.
