Norma Saliba has been a journalist and newscaster at PBS since 2004. She previously worked at a private television station as a part-time sports journalist for six years. She also worked as a Project Manager of an EU Grundtvig Project entitled, Eurosafe; it was funded by the European Commission and aimed at making manufacturing workers aware of RSI, repetitive strain injuries, which is the primary source of occupational health complaints at the workplace.
Norma graduated in Contemporary Mediterranean Studies and recently completely her Masters in European Studies. She is currently working on a new production for TVM Montage, which commenced in July and will go on for 12 consecutive weeks until the end of September.
Montage covers a mixture of themes related to lifestyle. It is produced by Norma Saliba and hosted by Nirvana Azzopardi.

I’m 26 years old, born on 28 April 1981, so I’m a Taurus.
What would you like to be doing in 10 years’ time?
I’d like to go on working on TV as a producer rather than reporter. I would also like to see my better half and our son fulfil our goals.
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Relaxing with my family and friends, eating, drinking, relating jokes…
What is your favourite occupation?
I think I would stick to journalism, but I’m attracted also to a career in foreign affairs and EU matters.
Significant other?
My better half, Manuel Micallef and our three-year-old son Mátyás.
What is your greatest fear?
Health problems when I grow old.
What is it that you most value in your friends?
Honesty and trust.
How would you like to die?
Sleeping.
What is your greatest extravagance?
Clothes, shoes, handbags, jewellery… and travelling!
What is your greatest regret?
No regrets at all! If I were to be reborn I would do the same things I’ve done so far.
What is your most treasured possession?
My son, Mátyás.
Which talent would you most like to have apart from the ones you already have?
Acting.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Solitude and poverty.
Where would you like to live?
Southern France or northern Italy where there is the sun, sea and lovely countryside.

My parents.
