Frans Pace was the centre of attraction this weekend at the Malta Shooting Sport Federation ranges in Bidnija when he was declared the All Malta Trap champion for the eight time with a remarkable score of 140 (117+23) out of 150.

Nicky Carabott placed second with a total of 135 and Noel Attard placed third with133.

Ryan Bugeja won fourth place (129) and Justin Attard was fifth (128) ahead of Joe Attard (127)

Pace will be shooting Trap in The ISSF World Championships in Cyprus in September, together with Nicky Carabott and Lino Galea. William Chetcuti will be taking part in Double Trap.

Today a contingent of Junior shooters leaves Malta for the Junior European Shooting Champioships in Venice Italy.
