Pierre Giovanni Mora from Buona Music Italy yesterday told a news conference that the Siamo Noi concert featuring Ron, Ivana Spagna and Tristan B will be held on 21 September.
Mr Mora said he has been working with Tristan for over a year and that when Tristan started recording his album in Italy last January, the company succeeded in having him collaborate with popular Italian singer Ron and later Ivana Spagna. The three will provide a teaser at the Independenza concert on 17 September.
At the Coca Cola Live concert, the trio will sing Raise me up, their own single together which features on Tristan B’s Album, and they will be accompanied by drummer Lele Melotti, who has played with Italian artists Eros Ramazzotti and Fiorella Mannoia.
Also present at the press conference was Martin Agius from Coca Cola Malta who said that the original plan for the concert had already been finalised when they were approached by Tristan B’s management. However, the Coca Cola team observed that behind Tristan B’s work there was ‘seriousness and longevity’ and the previous plan was dropped.
Siamo Noi will close the string of summer concerts held by the Coke and Music campaign which opened with the Bryan Adams concert in June, followed by the XFM Music Festival and the Renzo Arbore concert in July.
The concert will also include guest performances by Djs Joseph Armani, Banana and Mahoney. Joseph Armani will open the concert and will also perform his written remix Fallen angel. At the press conference, Dj Armani said he would be playing two mixes on stage, one based on Tristan B’s songs and the other based on radio-dance music. Supporting acts at the concert will include Maltese singers Georgina, Hooligan, and Fabrizio Faniello.
