Fgura United beat Qrendi 1-0 to win this year’s edition of the tournament organised by the same club.

In an interesting match, both sides gave their all with referee Apap keeping control of what turned to be a hard but fair encounter.

In the first half, both sets of players displayed neat football but where cautious not to expose themselves at the back. In fact though the match was played in frenetic tempo at times, scoring opportunities were far and wide.

The winning goal was scored by Ellul, a gem of a goal through a shot from outside the area.
