Sarah was brought up in Gozo, in the quiet village of Qala, where she spent some beautiful years of her life among nature and in a tranquil setting. At the age of 17 she left home to go to university where she graduated as a biology teacher with a First Class honours degree. She currently works as a full-time Biology teacher at De La Salle College, Cottonera.
She is a well-known face on One TV where she presents the documentary Grajjiet Ghawdex. She has presenting this programme for the past four years. She is also currently studying for an MBA by distance learning, concurrent with a couple of other short courses.
Sarah loves adventurous travelling, backpacking and always having something to look forward to. Being an animal lover, she devotes part of her free time to her pets and fostered kittens and tries to travel to undisturbed places, where she can enjoy nature, animal reserves and unspoilt cultures.

What would you like to be doing in 10 years’ time?
Mmm, no idea. I do not plan so far ahead into the future!
What is your idea of perfect happiness?
Being able to spontaneously do what you feel like doing with no regrets after. Travelling, going out and just doing anything that makes me happy.
What is your favourite occupation?
I do not have a favourite one, as I like doing different things. It has to be dynamic though and allow me the space to improve and work also on my own initiative.
What is your greatest fear?
Growing old without having done all the things I wish to do in my life.
What is it that you most value in your friends?
Respect, trust, being good listeners and joining me in my sometimes crazy plans.
How would you like to die?
Surrounded by wild animals and nature. If this is not possible, I am ready to be a bit flexible about it!
What is your greatest extravagance?
My maisonette at Swieqi. I do not regret buying it though.
What is your greatest regret?
Not having undergone a work experience abroad.
What is your most treasured possession?
My Weimaraner, Congo. He is a crazy bundle of energy.
Which talent would you most like to have apart from the ones you already have?
I would love to learn how to make gummar hats and bamboo curtains and all these traditional local things.
What do you regard as the lowest depth of misery?
Being unsatisfied with your life and not having the courage to do something about it.
Where would you like to live?
I am not so rigid about this issue. I do love Malta a lot though.
What is your most marked characteristic?
Being positive and having enough energy and enthusiasm to be on the go all the time and open to new experiences.
Who are your heroes/heroines in real life?
Well, I do admire my parents a lot for how they have brought me and my siblings up and for the way they have allowed us to grow with guidance but without excessive restrictions.
What is it that you most dislike?
Cruelty to animals, discrimination, people talking behind someone else’s back, stress!

Live life to the max!
