MEP Visits Vodafone

Maltese Member of European Parliament Joseph Muscat visited Vodafone Malta’s head office in Birkirkara recently.

Mr Muscat was appreciative of Vodafone Malta’s contribution to the Maltese economy, the investment made by the company over the last 17 years and the variety of services Vodafone offers its customers. .

Mr Muscat was welcomed by Vodafone’s CEO, Inaki Berroeta and during a meeting with the company’s management team he was presented with an overview of the company’s operations.

During this meeting Mr Muscat had the opportunity to discuss a number of critical public policy and regulatory issues such as the roaming directive implementation with the company’s management. Current innovations including 3G, HSDPA and WiMax were also discussed.

After the meeting, Mr Muscat, together with Mr Berroeta, Joseph Muscat, chief technical officer and Joseph Cuschieri, head of Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs, attended a demonstration of Vodafone’s WiMax service that was recently launched by the company.
