The Ministry of Foreign Affairs said in a statement that President Edward Fenech Adami is to pay an official visit to Algeria on 10, 11 September.

The President will be accompanied by Minister of Foreign Affairs Michael Frendo, Malta’s ambassador to Algeria and several Maltese businessmen.

This visit aims at enhancing cooperation between Algeria and Malta especially in the economic field.

Last April, Dr Frendo paid a two-day visit to Algeria and met President Abelaziz Bouteflika and Algerian senior officials.
