From Ms M. Cutajar
I choose not to write a lengthy reply to the article written by Daphne Caruana Galizia published in The Malta Independent on Sunday of 26 August, because time is precious and I do not intend to waste it. Ms Caruana Galizia’s opinion is that both the government and the Opposition should step out because everybody wants a “clean sweep”; yet she only deemed it necessary to mock and make fun of Dr Alfred Sant.
She stated as a matter of fact that “men who wear wigs are figures of fun”. What about women and children who wear a wig while going through the traumatic experience of cancer? Are they figures of fun too?
If, after reading this article someone decides to agree with the way Ms Caruana Galizia chose to write about Dr Sant, well, I must conclude that, the much treasured Christian values we Maltese are so proud of possessing, have either diminished drastically or better still are no longer existent.
