CPD (Malta) is organising a postgraduate diploma in Working Therapeutically with Health-Related Issues.

The diploma is set to start with its first seminar on Body Disturbances: Cancer and Skin Disorder, and will be led by John Kenneth Newman, Emeritus Training Analyst (IGAP, London) and lecturer at Oxford University. This will be held on Saturday 15 and Sunday 16 September.

This seminar will be followed by another one on Counselling Seriously Physically Ill People, and will be led by Ruth Archer, a UK psychotherapist with vast experience in the field.

The aim of these seminars is to provide a psychological understanding of different health issues, and how to work with them therapeutically. Various psychological models of understanding and treatment will be provided.

These seminars are open to counsellors, psychologists, psychotherapists, social workers, doctors, psychiatric nurses and students in advanced stages of training. Each seminar may also be applied for individually and covers 12 CPD hours.
