St Vincent de Paul Running Group is preparing to hold a 5 Km Road Race open to all categories and a 1 Km Fun Run. This athletic activity will take place on Saturday, 29th September commemorating the Day of the Elderly and the feast of St Vincent de Paul.

This sports manifestation is being organised in conjunction with the Department of the Elderly, together with the Luqa, Marsa and Qormi Local Councils. It has also received the approval of the Malta Amateur Athletic Association.

A prize fund of Lm110 will be distributed among the first three male and the first three female runners. Trophies, t-shirts, medals, goody bags will also be distributed.

Sixty four Lottery prizes including an Ideal Parashock 18 speed bicycle (Pedal Power) will be drawn.

This activity would not have been held without the support of sponsors including the Group’s partners C&F Building Contractors and Mr Clean. Kristal and Powerade are supplying the water and energy drink at the end of the race. Fantasy Radio’s DJs and Kimberly Grech will entertain the public.

This sports activity will consist of a 1 Km Fun Run around the Ring Road of the Residence and a 5 Km Race in the vicinity of the Residence, which is a very good route.
