The Family and Social Solidarity Ministry yesterday denied that an application for an invalidity pension was cancelled for political reasons, as was stated by a witness in a court case on Wednesday.
The general directorate for social security within the ministry declared that this particular application had not been cancelled. The process had continued regularly, was finalised and the pension was given, a Department of Information statement said yesterday.
