A motorcyclist and a woman passenger in a car were seriously injured in a crash in the small hours yesterday morning.

The police said a head on collision between a Kawasaki motorbike and a Volkswagen Polo occurred around midnight in Triq Sant’Andrija in Swieqi. The car was being driven by a 30-year old man from Zebbug, who had an 18-year old woman passenger from Ta’ Xbiex with him.

The motorcyclist, a 27-year old man from Hamrun, and the woman passenger, were taken to hospital where they were found to be seriously injured.
