V5 Bar on the Valletta Waterfront is and the latest addition to the AX Group.

The location itself, within the beautiful, historic Pinto Wharf vaults or better known as the Valetta Waterfront, is already an inviting prospect. But there is even more as the V5 was conceived as a bar with a difference.

The most novel feature at V5 must be Malta’s first ever mechanical rodeo bull. This bucking mechanical bull will definitely offer a night with a difference to patrons as it bucks and spins offering a realistic feel for the more adventurous and fun-loving patrons. Bull-riding competitions will be organised every weekend with clients spending more than Lm2 being given a chance to participate. Various prizes will be won by the cowboy /girl of the night.

The V5 adheres to a strict door policy for over-25s. Its spacious interior, divided on two levels, is rather distinctive and features details that develop its somewhat rustic ambience. It offers a vast choice of select wines and beverages from its fully stocked bar. With indoor and outdoor seating, this charming bar offers an atmosphere where patrons may relax and enjoy a glass of wine with their friends.

V5’s spacious interior incorporates a dance area and a large stage, which will host live performances with guest singers. Also set to appeal to the over-25 crowd are V5’s themed nights featuring contemporary music ranging from slow rock and pop to 70’s, 80’s and 90’s music and weekly acoustic nights.

V5’s Operations Manager, Duncan Zammit, said that this new element in the AX Group’s chain of outlets has already been a hit with groups organising parties and special nights out, and although it does not cater for diners, it has special arrangements with its sister outlet next door, tal-Kaptan, and food may be pre-ordered on specific agreement. He said, “We have high hopes for V5 and are certain that with its unique features, its warm and welcoming décor and friendly staff, it has the right elements to make it a unique and winning attraction for the more mature set.”
