Maltese Member of European Parliament Joseph Muscat recently visited Vodafone Malta Limited’s Head Office in Birkirkara. Mr Muscat was appreciative of Vodafone Malta’s contribution to the Maltese economy, the investment that has been made by the Company during the last 17 years and the variety of services offered by Vodafone to its customers.

Mr Muscat was welcomed by Vodafone’s CEO, Inaki Berroeta and during a meeting with the company’s management team he was presented with an overview of the company’s operations. During this meeting Mr Muscat had the opportunity to discuss a number of critical public policy and regulatory issues such as the roaming directive implementation with the company’s management. Current innovations including 3G, HSDPA and WiMax were also discussed.

After the meeting, Joseph Muscat, together with Mr Berroeta, Joseph Muscat, Chief Technical Officer and Joseph Cuschieri, Head of Legal, Regulatory and Corporate Affairs attended a demonstration of Vodafone’s WiMax service, which was recently launched by the

company.
