Vodafone Malta has launched a nationwide search for its new face to feature in the mobile operator’s 2008 advertising campaigns.

Vodafone customers with an MMS-enabled phone have been given the opportunity to become a personality by becoming the new face of Vodafone. In addition, the competition winner will receive a cash prize of Lm500 (EUR1,164), a Vodafone 3G handset and a selection of other Vodafone merchandise.

Customers looking to participate in the exclusive promotion can do so by sending a photo of their face by MMS to mms.mt@

vodafone.com by not later than 28 October 2007.

A panel of judges will, on 2 November, select 20 participants to proceed to the promotion’s final stage. Further details on the final stage will be made known at a later date.

Each MMS costs 20c (EUR0.46) and only images received through MMS will be accepted.

“This is the first time Vodafone is doing something of this sort. We are giving our customers the possibility to be part of our advertising campaigns and actually be the Vodafone Face.
