The South End Core, which was responsible for the supporters at the South Stand of the Ta’ Qali Stadium, will continue working hand in hand with the MFA, especially for the forthcoming match against Moldova at Ta’ Qali on 17 October.

Addressing the press yesterday, Louis Agius, on behalf of the organisers, said they had worked hard over the past two months. “It was a complete success. Despite some criticism for the way we handled our publicity, we are glad to say that everything went smoothly. We are now trying to organise more support for the match against Moldova and we hope to be able to fill that South Stand as we did against Turkey, when the tickets were sold out,” he said.

Agius added that they were also working on another project. “We are studying ways and means of how to organise support for the national team’s away matches. However, this depends a lot on the expenses involved and it is still early to say that we will do it. What we have in mind is one-day trips with the Hungary match (13 October) first on our thoughts,” he said.
