Mark Miller’s boys today will be playing their third match in the UEFA U-21 championship, meeting none other than group giants France (photo).

In the first match, at the Hibs Ground, Malta lost to Romania 1-0 with the goal arriving just a few seconds from the end. Last Saturday, the local boys played their second match in Bosnia where, unluckily, they were swept aside 4-0.

Today, it will be another difficult task as the French include some players with experience in the French League not to mention three youngsters already playing outside the country, that is, Johan Gourcuff, the Milan midfielder, Tottenham midfielder Younes Kaboul and Newcastle midfielder Charles N'Zogbia.

The match, at the Ta’ Qali national stadium, kicks off at 5.30pm.
