Gosa Catholic Mission – Ethiopia

Malta Independent Thursday, 13 September 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 13 years ago

I want to say a big “thank you” to all benefactors and friends of Mission Fund for their generous heart and hard work to help the Maltese missionaries in the Third World countries.

In Ethiopia we have three houses. I am in Gosa in a remote and isolated area where there is no electricity or telephone and the people are living in round huts made of bamboo and banana leaves.

We are four sisters of the Franciscan Missionaries of Mary. Two sisters are involved in preventive and curative care and treatment in the clinic, one sister works in women’s promotion and I am involved in primary education, kindergarten, primary school, public library and pastoral care of the people.

We received a big help from Mission Fund, Mosta and I encourage all of you dear friends of Malta and Gozo to send used stamps, used telecards and all your help to Mission Fund, 72, St Joseph, Flat 2, Triq il-Farinal, Mosta MST 07.

Thank you once more to Mission Fund and benefactors of Malta and Gozo for your great and wonderful generosity; I promise that every day, we are all praying for all of you. May God bless you.
