Stefano Bonaccorso, Head coach at the Youth Sector of Serie A football club, Atalanta B.C., will be the special guest at the official opening of Birkirkara F.C. Youth Nursery Season 2007/8 which will be held on Friday at St. Theresa Junior Lyceum (opposite Infetti Grounds) at 7.30pm.

During this event, all coaches at the club for the upcoming season will be presented to the media while the calendar of events will be officially launched, this season being the 25th anniversary from the foundation of the nursery itself.

On this special occasion and for the second consecutive time, Bonaccorso has accepted the invitation to come over to Malta not only to discuss with the nursery officials regarding future projects, but also to meet children and parents who form part of this one large family.

In fact, during his three day visit, Bonaccorso will be present at mostly all sports activities organised during this specific period. On Saturday, he will be monitoring the Under 16 Birkirkara squad during a tournament held at the Gozo Stadium and meeting GYFA officials, while on Sunday, he will be attentively watching the Under 14 boys playing their first official league match of the season at the Luxol Grounds.

Not only observing, but Bonaccorso will be also working on the field at the Infetti Grounds with a group of children from the Nursery at 9.30am on Sunday, while later in the afternoon, he will be holding a talk with the theme: "Football preparation and training in the youth sector" - where he will be giving an overview of his work and experiences in coaching during the number of years at professional level.
