The federation set up by the Public Transport Association (ATP), White Taxis and the Motor and Horse-Drawn Hearses Association is pleading with the authorities to suspend two permits issued for the carriage of corpses.
Since the permits were issued, it said, there has been a revenue drop of more than 30 per cent for the Hearses Association.
The federation also asked the Malta Transport Authority (ADT) to ensure that the City Electric Cabs and the Open Top vehicles operate within the parameters stipulated in the tender they won.
As for the introduction of trackless trains, the federation said it should be consulted before the relevant tender was issued.
