Tennis coaching is widespread in Malta be it in the various tennis clubs, schools or in hotels.
The Malta Tennis Federation, in an effort to coordinate coaching and eventually bring the didactic methodology up to a certain standard, is starting the process of complying with EU requirements specifying that all sporting coaches are to be registered with their respective governing bodies by 2008. Moreover, in accordance with the Sports Act, all persons acting as tennis coaches must be registered with the MTF.
The Malta Tennis Federation is inviting all tennis coaches, qualified or not, to attend a presentation by the MTF at the Kennedy Nova Hotel, Gzira on Monday 24 September at 8pm.
The brief presentation will outline the MTF’s plans for the future development of the tennis coaches in Malta.
In addition all coaches attending this meeting shall be invited to subscribe to the Register of Official Coaches of the MTF. Membership shall be free of charge for the first year.
If tennis coaches require any further details regarding the presentation, or would like to register their attendance, they are to contact MTF President Mr Tony Cilia Pisani (Mobile 79012901) or national coach Robert Tarpey (Mobile 99453306)
The MTF would like to thank its commercial partner, Gasan Mamo Insurance Limited, for the company's continued support.
