As part of my strategy to shorten as much as possible my stay in purgatory,

I decided to watch Saviour Balzan’s programme Repor-

ter and listen to what Dr Sant had to say about our future.

I am morally convinced that the good Lord must have cancelled all my debts, past, present and future! What a big yawn! What a 30-minute spell of “sweet little nothings”. What a good exercise in daydreaming.

Is it possible that there is one single fool who is prepared to abandon so much prosperity in the hope of catching the single sparrow flying somewhere near the moon?

For your own sake, for your family’s sake, for the sake of the whole prosperous country… do not let anyone fool you because then it would be too late. Do not be tempted to jump into the well because the fox in there is singing the Un Bel Di Vedremo because once you jump in only a miracle can let you out again.

And miracles do not happen often. Ignore what you read and ignore what you hear… simply have a look around you and you will certainly agree with me that you have never had it so good!
