Water Services Corporation chairman Michael Falzon yesterday filed a libel suit against the editor of l-orizzont Frans Ghirxi and columnist Joe Sammut over an article that appeared on Monday 17 September.

In the writ, Mr Falzon claimed that the article, titled A Serious Conflict of Interest (Konflitt Serju ta’ Interess), was defamatory and intended to tarnish his good reputation.

He therefore requested the Court of Magistrates to award up to Lm5,000 in damages.

Dr William Cuschieri and Dr Adrian Delia signed the writ.
