‘Healthy Hearts’ Seminars

Flora will be joining other organisations worldwide to mark World Heart Day on Sunday 30 September, by organising four public seminars addressing the prevention of cardiovascular diseases.

The speakers at the seminars will be the senior cardiac surgeon, Alex Manchè who will address the risk factors in heart disease, while Jeremy Ellul will focus on diet and heart disease. The Flora Healthy Hearts seminars will be conducted in Maltese and each seminar will be followed by a question-and-answer session and light refreshments.

The seminars will be held in four locations around Malta and Gozo. The first will be held at the Dolmen Resort Hotel, Qawra, on Monday 1 October at 7pm.

The other seminars will take place on 8 October at the Razzett tal-Hbiberija in Marsascala at 9.30am, on 22 October at the Hotel Ta’ Cenc, Sannat, at 10.30am and on 29 October at St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity, Valletta at 9.30am. Participants at each seminar will receive a voucher entitling them to a free cholesterol test, which is being sponsored by HSE Laboratory Services and St Philip’s Hospital, Sta Venera.
