Archbishop Mgr Paul Cremona, OP, will preside his first diocesan assembly, discussing the work done so far, and future activities, for the implementation of the pastoral plan for 2007-08. The assembly, the fourth of its kind, will be meeting at the John Paul II Centre in Attard on Thursday and on Saturday.
The pastoral plan, on the theme Together in Christ for the Service of Man aims to help the Church in Malta to move from the present to the desired situation. It indicates the work, projects and means which can help the Church in this, and who would be responsible for the proposed initiatives.
The annual assembly aims to serve as an informative experience to which parish priests, religious provincials, heads of Church schools, those who lead associations and movements, and others have been invited.
It will be followed during October and November by an assembly in each parish which would do at a parish level what would have been done at the diocesan level.
