The contingent of Special Olympics taking part in the World Games to be held in China, will be leaving Malta tomorrow at about 2.30pm. They will proceed to Dubai and then to Shanghai. The contingent will consist of 19 athletes who will be taking part in athletics, swimming, bowling and gymnastics.

The Head of delegation wil be Anna Calleja, the Chairperson of Special Olympics Malta. Besides the athletes there will be a number of officials and also a good number of parents and friends.

Specials Olympics made arrangements so that the Maltese media will be kept informed about the Maltese athletes during the games. The contingent will return to Malta on Sunday 14 October at about 1pm.
