10 embellishment projects will have been completed around the country within a year, Resources and Infrastructure Minister Ninu Zammit said when viewing embellishment works around Balzan parish church.

The work at Balzan is being carried out together with the local council and includes paving for the church parvis, and a new illumination system for the steps.

All work is being done by ministry employees and the costs are being shared by the Works Division and the local council. This cooperation between the local and central governments should be an example to emulate, the minister said.

The works at Balzan are expected to be concluded by year’s end. They were being done together with other work at Qrendi, and works that would start at Mqabba, Fgura and Sta Venera.
