The Malta Union of Teachers has registered an industrial dispute at MCAST over “the exaggerated delay” about talks for a collective agreement.

The MUT said it was also concerned that though teachers’ administrative workload was rising, nothing had been done about the promise to adjust the number of class contact hours.

Teachers at the MCAST, it added, were preoccupied, unhappy and troubled, and there were also reports that academics who had to be assimilated in higher grades were being neglected.
