The embellishment project of the Saqqajja in Rabat, which was to cost about Lm300,000, has been completed by the town’s Labour-led council for only Lm40,000.
Rabat’s mayor, Frank Fabri, said the previous council’s embellishment plans were followed but the result showed the prudence of the council, which now had a Labour majority.
The project, which included paving the Saqqajja, was inaugurated at an activity which was attended by Opposition Leader Alfred Sant.
