A court has acquitted a street hawker of distributing imitation CDs and DVDs, after it found that there was not enough evidence put forward to show that the audiovisual material was actually found at his stall.
Martin Cachia, 48, from Pembroke, was cleared of breaching copyright laws and relapsing.
Magistrate Giovanni Grixti presided over the case. Police Inspector Joseph Cordina prosecuted and Dr Roberto Montalto was defence counsel.
