Five men, aged between 19 and 21 and a 15-year-old girl were yesterday charged with robbing a man at around 8pm on Friday in Fgura.

The men are Wayne Briffa, 21, from Marsascala, Scott Fenech, 20, from Santa Lucija, Glenn Spiteri, 19, from Tarxien, Duncan Caruana, 20, from Tarxien and Eric Zammit, 21, from Tarxien. The 15-year-old girl from Paola cannot be mentioned since she is still a minor.

Before magistrate Mariam Hayman, all the accused pleaded not guilty to the charges brought against them. They were granted bail against a personal guarantee of Lm1,500.

Police Inspectors Daniel Zammit and Jesmond Borg prosecuted. Dr Joseph Giglio, Dr Franco Debono, Dr Robert Abela, Dr Chris Cardona and Dr Giannella Caruana Curran appeared for the accused.
