Bank of Valletta plc is organising another edition of the investor education programme. Members of the general public are invited to attend for these public talks. The topics that will be discussed include the nature of bonds, shares, collective investment schemes, structured products, portfolio management and trustee services. Representatives from BOV Stockbroking and Advisory Services, BOV Wealth Management and Valletta Fund Management Limited will be delivering the talks.

The sessions will be held at Sala Madonna tal-Karmnu, Valley Road, Birkirkara on four consecutive Tuesdays, commencing yesterday, with a fifth and final session being held on Friday 2 November. Every session will commence at 6.30pm and will last approximately one and a half hours.

Following the keen participation registered in previous editions, the Investor Education Programme has become a recurrent event in the Bank’s diary of events. As part of its commitment towards Corporate Social Responsibility, the Bank places its knowledge and expertise at the disposal of the general public. Speaking about the Programme, Stefan Kottmann Soler, the Bank’s Investor Relations Officer, said “this edition is different from previous ones, in that the first two sessions will focus on explaining the nature of bonds and shares. This approach will help participants better understand subsequent sessions on other investment products and services, like collective investment schemes and portfolio management.”

Attendance to these sessions, which will be delivered in Maltese, is free of charge.

A certificate of attendance will be awarded to those who participate in all five sessions.
