Valletta captain Gilbert Agius is the BOV Player of the Month for September 2007.

Martin Mangion, Manager of Bank of Valletta’s Fleur-de-Lys Branch presented the BOV Player of the Month trophy to Gilbert Agius in the presence of Louis Micallef from the Malta Football Association.

Agius was attributed this honour following his consistent performance during the month of September rather than spectacular fanfare. His performance for Valletta helped the team regain momentum and a healthier placing in the top division standing after a shaky start to the BOV Premier League.

This player’s work-rate catches the eye as much as his scoring exploits. It was, in fact, this first quality and his gritty play that earned Agius September’s award
