Hibernians have won the first major honour of the season when they comfortably beat arch rivals Birkirkara by three clear goals in the Women’s Super Cup at the Luxol Stadium.
New signing Rebecca D’Agostino scored the opening goal with a super strike direct from a free-kick in the fourth minute while Kathleen Saliba (62’) and skipper Dorianne Theuma (78’) added two more second-half goals to confirm Hibs superiority on the day.
MFA Vice-President Dr Peter Fenech presented the coveted trophy to the Hibernians captain, Dorianne Theuma at the end of the match.
B’Kara’s captain was also presented with a cup as beaten finalists.
