From Ms C. Balzan
After watching the political leaders’ debate, I’m confident when I say that there is a clear difference between the two political leaders. One leader is proposing how he is going to run his government and the other seems like he is already preparing himself on how a person should behave when in Opposition.
Dr Sant gave an outstanding performance in the 1st October debate where he showed clearly that there is a plan of change and a sense of good leadership for all Maltese citizens if the Labour Party was voted into power.
On the other hand, Dr. Gonzi found himself in checkmate several times as he did not know how to respond to MLP’s proposals for a new administration and the corruption of Dr Gonzi’s government.
The difference is clear; Dr Sant is a person who has new ideas, new plans, new strategies and zero acceptance of corruption, while Dr Gonzi had nothing new to show while being surrounded with a Cabinet that did nothing to fight abuses.
