A seminar on civil marriages is being held by the Catholic Enquiry Centre, and chaired by the Archbishop, Mgr Paul Cremona OP, at Dar l-Emigrant in Valletta on 13 October from 9am to noon.

The theme of the seminar is: “Civil marriages between the Maltese and those between Maltese and foreigners are on the increase. Should this be a concern to us?”.

The interventions in the seminar will include interpretations of the situation as shown by the statistics; teaching of religion in primary schools as well as the value of such teaching for both educators and children in order to continue building Christian values. A discussion on the reasons and the number of difficulties within mixed marriages done civilly and in Church, will also be included.

There will also be time for questions.
