Drago, Borg Eliminated from German Open

Malta's Tony Drago and Alex Borg were yesterday eliminated in the Last 32 stage of the snooker.de German Open.

The two Maltese cueists suffered similar 3-2 defeats against players who were passing through some good form at present. Drago lost to Michael Judge while Borg lost to Tom Ford.

Earlier, the two top Maltese players had won their qualifying Groups and also their match in the Last 64 stage to reach the Last 32.

During their run in this tournament, Borg had a best break of 110, while Drago's best break was a 104.

Last week, the two Maltese players played together as the Malta team at the World eight ball pool championship at the Outland Nightclub, in Rotterdam, Holland.

They just failed to reach the second round of the tournament as they lost 8-7 to the United States team.
