Small Ticket price increase from January

Malta Independent Thursday, 11 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 20 years ago

MFA president Dr Joe Mifsud announced yesterday that there will be a small ticket price increase at Ta’ Qali for the domestic matches.

The changes are being made mostly because of the change from the Maltese lira to the Euro and the increases had to be considered and have to be approved to round off the charge, therefore easing the procedure at the stalls.

As from 1 January 2008, tickets costing Lm3 at present will cost 8 euros; Lm2 tickets will cost 5 euros, Lm1.50 tickets will cost 4 euros and Lm1 tickets will cost 2.5 euros.

Dr Mifsud said that admission charges had not been increased for several years. These increases will also partially cover the huge expenses involved in the running of the game, and that includes the hefty water and electricity bills.
