An instructional meeting was carried out earlier this week at the Malta Basketball Association Pavilion for top officials that will be officiating matches during the season 2007 /2008. The basketball season starts this weekend.

Various topics have been discussed including instructions received from FIBA, (International Basketball Federation) regarding unsportsmanlike fouls and also about technical fouls. No changes have been made to the general rules.

The seminar was conducted by the Malta Basketball Referees Association with the help of FIBA Instructor Leonard Falzon and FIBA Referee Bernard Vassallo. Anthony Briguglio, MBA Disciplinary Commissioner, also participated in the seminar.

MBRA chairman Jean Paul Sammut briefed the officials about the MBRA work and preparation for the coming season and finally augured all the officials success for the coming season and to maintain the good results achieved during the past seasons.
