Malta may well be the centre of the universe (for some anyway), but it was risible to compare it with worldwide capitals and major cities in the report “International comparison index finds that property in Malta is cheaper than most places” (TMIS, 7 October).

Except for Nice, “most places” excluded the Mediterranean littoral and islands, which are the valid comparison, though not necessarily consistent with the report’s headline.

It is disappointing that this journal with its masthead title implying objectivity would print anything with such obvious selectivity instead of a comprehensive listing showing that Malta property is neither the most expensive nor the best value for money.
