The Rural Development Department is extending the latest call for applications under the Meeting Standards scheme for farmers and breeders, as a result of the need to give aid to a larger number of them.

The aid is for building structures for the storage of manure and liquids produced on the farm, so as they would conform to the nitrates directive 91/676.

The applications should be handed in at the Rural Development Department by 26 October.

Late applications will not be accepted.

Applicants are to submit the plans and MEPA-approved permits indicating the structures.
