Opposition Leader Alfred Sant, the Nationalist Party said, prefers to speak but not to answer questions or participate in a discussion programme with the prime minister on the day after the budget speech.
The PN said the Labour leader turned down an invitation to take part in the programme …Bil-fatti, which was carried on NET TV yesterday evening. Taking part were the prime minister, representatives of employer associations, of labour unions and of civil society.
Dr Sant was invited on the programme last month but it was only on Monday evening that his office informed the programme makers that he would not be taking part.
The budget speech, the PN said, had confused the Labour Party.
