A woman from Valletta yesterday pleaded not guilty to forging her road licence in a bid to extend the period of its validity.

Bernice Sciberras, 21, pleaded not guilty to forging a road licence on 1 October 2006 in an attempt to alter the licence which was to expire on November 2004.

She tried to alter it to November 2006. She also pleaded not guilty to driving a Daihatsu Charade bearing the forged licence.

Dr José Herrera and Dr Veronique Dalli appeared for the accused.
