The Ministry for the Family and Social Solidarity and Dingli local council will be inaugurating Gnien il-Familja in Hemda street, behind the football ground, in Dingli. The garden, surrounded with trees and plants, is also equipped with swings and similar accessories to enable children to recreate themselves during their spare time.
The inauguration takes place on Sunday. At 9.30am Mass will be celebrated at Dingli parish church, after which the Dingli Scouts and Girl Guides will march from the church to the venue.
Several activities will be held in the Garden by the Ghaqda Talent Dingli, Dingli Swallows Football Nursery and Bushido Jujitsu Academy.
During the same activity a painting exhibition by the Maltese artist Alfred Chircop will also be inaugurated. Chircop resides in Dingli and his exhibition will be open to the public the following week between 3 and 8pm.
