Politics Unconditionally discharged

Malta Independent Friday, 19 October 2007, 00:00 Last update: about 14 years ago

You are an alien and land on Malta. You tune in to one political station and the island is either Heaven or Hell, depending on the party controlling the news. You wonder if this is serious and if there is a reality anywhere in between. For sure, the country is geared into election mode and the vibes are politically charged. How conditioned do you allow your mind to be?

Bla Kondixin, as the festival of satire, now running in its seventh year, is commonly known, seeks to make light of politicians who take themselves too seriously and portrays them in a way where they make fun of themselves.

Bla Kondixin 2007 will be held in the Sir Temi Zammit hall, University of Malta on19-21 and 26-28 October and between 2-4 November. Performances start at 7.30pm. Booking is available from St James Cavalier Centre for Creativity on 2122-3216, or [email protected], website www.blakondixin.com.
