The life story of St Philip, interpreted by Mark Tonna is being presented for the first time in Malta at The Catholic Institute, Floriana, on 2, 3 and 4 November.

This original musical created by Brian Bonnici with music composed by Chan Vella, is being produced by Bronk Productions. Mro Joe Brown is responsible for the musical arrangements and recordings, John Suda is directing and Benny Casha is the producer. Keith and Adonelle of Keith and Adonelle Dancers are responsible for the choreography. The musical gives prominence to the eternal fight between good and evil which was the life mission of St Philip in Agira, Sicily. Another important aspect brought out in the musical is the strong influence that the devotion to this saint had on the creation and development of the town of Zebbug from the existing older villages – Hal Mula, Hal Muxi and Hal Dwin.

Preparations for this musical which started some four years ago are now in their final exciting stages with daily rehearsals.

Taking part are many well-established Maltese singers including Mark Tonna, Triccas, MaryRose Mallia, Julie Pomorski and Keith and Adonelle Dancers. There will be three representations at The Catholic Institute, Floriana.
